Hello, my name is Emily! I'm a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and Virginia, and I'm passionate about helping people gain the skills to cope with everyday stressors and life transitions.

My practice focuses on trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions ranging from school, work, the perinatal period, and motherhood.

My approach is warm and down-to-earth. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space for clients to be themselves. I believe everyone should have access to quality mental health care.

Person-centered

Therapy is a unique and individual experience. I frequently check-in with my clients to measure our progress together and to ensure we are a good fit. No hard feelings if we need to pause or refer out, I understand the struggle of finding a therapist that fits you!

My Approach

Skills and Interventions

As a trauma-informed therapist, I use a blend of trauma-informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

My clients often say that I leave them feeling empowered about their choices and feeling confident about the next steps on their journey.
